Days 1, 2 and 3: Diani, South Coast

Early morning arrival at the Moi International Mombasa where you will be met by a uniformed representative for a transfer through the coastal town of Mombasa and onto the South Coast via a ferry crossing at Likoni checking in at the Indian Ocean beach club. For the next three days, relax and recover from the jet lag, unwind, and explore the white sandy beaches of Diani. Swim in the warm waters, snorkel, scuba dive, water ski and also get to indulge in the night life of this tourist resort town. Overnight Indian Ocean Beach Club (B, L or D)

Day 4: Kasigau Ranch

Today, after breakfast, we set off for a 2.5 hr drive drive to Kasigau ranch on the Southern tip of Tsavo West National park. Kasigau Ranch hosts a wide variety of wild plants and animals. Plant life includes Acacia woodlands and open bush grasslands. Animals commonly sighted include the African elephant, Maasai giraffe, lesser kudu, spotted hyena, Burchells zebra, and impala. Birdlife is spectacular with over 250species recorded, three of them being endemic to the Kasigau area. We arrive in time for lunch Kiwanjani eco lodge. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy 15000 acres of exclusive wilderness on game drive or simply relax by the lounge overlooking the waterhole where the beasts gather for a drink. Better still, we could take a visit to the villages to interact with the local Taita community and visit some of the community projects that Kiwanjani eco lodge has been supporting. Days 5: Tsavo East National Park

We begin our day with a hearty breakfast then drive to Tsavo East National park. Tsavo is famous for its man-eating, mane less lions and large herds of dust-red elephants. We spend the day delving into this pristine wilderness in search of the beats; buffalo, lion, leopard, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu and gerenuk and a and a wide variety of brightly painted birds against a scenic backdrop of the shapely Taita hills and the Nyika plateau. Meals and overnight stay will be at the exquisite Aruba Ashnil lodge (B , L ,D)

Days 6, 7 and 8: Bamburi Beach

Capping off more than a week of breath-taking safari, we embark on a 2.5 hour drive back to the coastal town of Mombasa and onto the North Coast and checking in at the Severin Sea Lodge. After all the bush and game, you ought to slow down, shake off the safari dust and just relax. You may swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, bask on the white sandy beach, jet ski, scuba dive, windsurf, and cruise to the reef in a glass-bottom boat for a fascinating glimpse of the coral gardens and other marine life. You could also opt for a tour of the coastal town of Mombasa visiting the historical Fort Jesus or the nearby Bamburi nature trail. Overnight Severin Sea Lodge.(B, L or D)

Day 9: Departure Day

Greet your last day in Bamburi with a hearty breakfast followed by any last minute shopping or beach combing. Evening transfer back to the airport to catch your departing international flight marking the end of a memorable safari. (B)

The Indian Ocean Beach Club is a charming beach hotel set in 25 acres of attractive tropical gardens right beside the beautiful Diani Beach. Severin Sea Lodge is located directly on the shores of the Indian Ocean on Bamburi Beach, approximately 12 kilometers from Mombasa Town and 20 kilometers from Moi International Airport. The Lodge features 200 hotel rooms that are designed in a traditional Swahili style. All guest rooms with twin beds, mosquito nets, shower, WC, individual air condition, piped music, direct dial telephone, hair dryer, room safe, lounge area, balcony or terrace. Ashnil Aruba Lodge

Ashnil Aruba lodge, named after the Aruba Dam, an oasis of limpid brown water that forms an irresistible attraction to both man and beast in this otherwise dry dusty Tsavo East National Park. The 40 deluxe rooms each with a terrace overlooking the plains of the Aruba dam are all ensuite with toilet and shower facility with bathroom accessories. There is also some tented accommodation for those who want to experience a night under canvas. The swimming pool overlooking Aruba dam, the fine restaurant, well stocked bar and souvenir shop will surely make your stay very enjoyable.

Kiwanjani eco-lodge, Kasigau

Kiwanjani sits elegantly in the middle of the two Tsavo's evoking an incredible sense of familiarity - a true home in the wilderness. The secluded and spacious thatched cottages are a reflection of contemporary Africa combining the traditional African building style with the modern luxuries to create a true eco lodge in all aspects. Guest cottages are tastefully designed using traditional local knowledge and materials and are all interconnected with a boardwalk that leads to the restaurant, the lounge and bar. All the bedrooms are complete with en-suite bathroom and private veranda all overlooking an animal waterhole where elephant and buffaloes jostle for watering rights with kudu, zebra, dikdik, hyenas and even the cats. The bathrooms are large, spacious with proper overhead showers, flush toilets and wash basins with running water. This small exclusive lodge can only accommodate 12 guests at any one time.
