Kenya | 7 Days 6 Nights Amazing Safari
Day 1: NairobiArrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport, Nairobi. Upon check out, a English speaking safari guide meets for a short drive to the Eka hotel for a refreshing shower and lunch. In the afternoon we vist the nearby giraffe centre for a unique chance to hand feed the endagered Rotchschild giraffe and probably even get a kiss from a giraffe. We also visit the Karen Blixen museum and the Utamaduni craft centre to shop for souveniers. At 6PM, transfer to the Carnivore restaurant for a samptuous dinner before retunring to the Eka hotel for overnightstay.
Day 2: Amboseli National ParkAt 9AM, we depart for a 3-4 hour drive that gets us to the world?s renowned Amboseli National Park, nestled on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro on the southern border of Kenya and Tanzania. Lunch at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge and an early afternoon to relax. At 4PM, we?ll have an evening game drive. During our evening game drive expect to see huge herds of elephants wallowing in the swamp, giraffes, buffaloes, lions among others against the spectacular backdrop of the snow capped roof of Africa; Mt. Kilimanjaro. Meals and overnight at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge (B, L, D)
Day 3: Amboseli National ParkToday, we enjoy a full day exploration of the Amboseli National Park in the company of our crew who will delightfully share with us the intrigues of the Amboseli. During our morning and evening game drive expect to see huge herds of elephants wallowing in the swamp, giraffes, buffaloes, lions among others against the spectacular backdrop of the snow capped roof of Africa; Mt. Kilimanjaro. Meals and overnight Amboseli Sopa lodge (B, L, D)
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park6.30AM breakfast and check out for a game drive in Amboselienroute Nairobi. Lunch at a city restaurant then continue on a 2.5hr drive down the scenic Great Rift Valley that gets us to Lake Nakuru where we have the chance to see the greatest bird spectacle in the world. A million or so flamingoes, beside pelicans and cormorants make Lake Nakuru a bird lover?s paradise. An evening game drive through the various habitats of the park will certainly reveal why the park earned its status as a RAMSAR site as well as one of the best performing Rhino sanctuaries in Africa. Buffalo, zebra, waterbucks, warthogs, the rare Rothschild giraffe and if lucky the tree climbing lions will all feature in our sightings list. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru lodge with a panoramic view of the lake (B, L, D)
Day 5: Maasai Mara Game ReserveToday after breakfast, a 4-5 hours drive gets us to the world-renowned Maasai Mara game reserve. We check in at the Mara sopa lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon at lesire for a siesta or cool off the mid day sun in the swimming pool. At 4PM, we set out for an evening game drive for a glimpse of what the Mara has to offer. Return to the lodge for a refreshing shower, dinner and overnight stay. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Maasai Mara Game ReserveWe wake up to the natural sounds of Mara's birdlife. At 6.30AM we set off for a morning game drive visiting some of the most coveted scenic sites with award-winning photographic opportunities; from the game studded plains to the little hills and sentry termite mounds down to the rumbling Mara River all in hunt of wildlife! This is where you can see elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile and a whole ark-full of other animals. Return to the camp for breakfast and a morning at leisure. After lunch, we may visit a nearby local Maasai village for an insight into the way of life of this legendary community. On showcase are dances, folklore, fire making techniques, souvenirs, and lots of cultural activities. Evening game drive before returning to the lodge for an excellent cuisine and overnight at the Mara Sopa lodge(B, L, D)
Day 7: Nairobi and DepartureToday, we drive back to Nairobi arriving for lunch at a city restaurant. We then do some last minute shopping in the city and bid farewell to our hosts. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your 17.55PM flight back home marking the end of a short but memorable safari experience. (B)
