DAY 1: Pickup from the airport and transfer to Sigiriya via Pinnawala


Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northwest of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawalla is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. In 2011, there were 88 elephants, including 37 males and 51 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawala. The orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to many of the orphaned unweaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC)
Then proceed to Sigiriya.

The Rock Fortress in Sigiriya has been a very popular tourist destination due to its magnificence and the surrounding gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. The rock itself rises approximately 370 m (1,214 ft) above sea level and is sheer on all sides, in many places overhanging the base. It is regarded as the 8th wonder of the ancient world.

DAY 2: After Breakfast leave for Dambulla Cave Temple

Dambulla Cave Temple

The Cave Temple in Dhambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. There are burial sites with human skeletons about 2700 years old in this area, This is situated 148 km east of Colombo. There is a recumbent Buddha carved out of living rock, some 14m long.

Then leave for Habarana to enjoy the Elephant Ride.

Spend time experiencing and enjoying the ride of your life in Habarana. There really is no other feeling like it than riding an elephant through its native habitat. As you stroll past wildlife, trees and tanks (water reservoirs), the slow lolling movement from side to side makes an elephant ride here both relaxing and exhilarating in equal measure. During your ride, you and your pachyderm friends will take a dip in the water, moving in deep enough so that your feet touch the cool water. You will have a trained mahout guiding you and a personal camera man to take photographs for you with your own camera, ensuring that the memories last a lifetime.

Evening do the Wild Life Safari in Minneriya National Park.

Minneriya National Park is also home to Sri Lankan leopards and Sri Lankan Sloth Bears. It is listed as one of the important bird areas in Sri Lanka. The wildlife here comprises of 26 species of mammals, 160 species of bird, 9 species of amphibians, 25 species of reptiles and 75 species of butterfly. The park is an important habitat for the two endemic monkeys of Sri Lanka- the Purple-faced Langur and Toque Macaque. It is also home to large herbivorous mammals such as Sri Lankan Sambar Deer and Sri Lankan Axis Deer. Rare and endangered species such as Sri Lankan Leopard and Sri Lankan Sloth Bear also inhabit in Minneriya and the Gray Slender Loris has been reported here as well.

DAY 3: After Breakfast relax for a while and leave for Habarana for more excitement.


Bullock Cart (Double Ox Cart) ride:– Which will transport through the next phase of the adventure. The journey continues through dense shrub forests, Paddy lands and observing many forest birds and other wildlife including monkeys, wild hares, Mongoose, lizards, peacocks, parrots and even elephants. Sightseeing of the rural village day life possible while on the cart ride. Also discover a variety of seasonal fruits which can be seen on nearby trees in front of every house in the village.

Lie back and enjoy the flashes of the blue sky through the cover of the trees as the carter expertly guides his animals.

Traditional Lunch

Finally after experiencing the Cart ride the next is the Traditional Lunch at a local house prepared by the village women and the meals prepared in the traditional method using earthenware pots and firewood as fuel. This is arranged on a typical & traditional Buffet style (Clay pots – buffet) served on a Lotus leaf and a cane thatched flat holder.

The next attraction is the Overnight Camping in a Lake side of Hiriwadunna.

After BBQ enjoy the local singing sessions with Congo beat performed by the staff, so sit back relax and absorb the sheer luxury of sitting under a million stars with a touch of amazing nature. Don't forget to experience the night-watch for elephants invading towards the lake on the next end from the platform of the watch hut build on a huge wild tree.

DAY 4: After Breakfast leave for Kandy


It is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city. It is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri DaladaMaligawa), one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and all around the world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.

DAY 5: After Breakfast visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden

Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is situated about 5.5 km to the west from the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka , and attracts 1.2 million visitors annually, It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall.

Then leave for Kithulgala. Lunch at the Rafting site.

White water rafting is the challenging recreational outdoor activity of using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on white water or different degrees of rough water, in order to thrill and excite the raft passengers. The development of this activity as a leisure sport has become popular since the mid-1970. Inflatable raft will be used and all passengers have to be equipped with safety gear such as life vests and helmets. Paddles are also required to navigate. Kelani river in Kithulgala is the one and only area for White water rafting in Sri Lanka. Having benifited the location there are 8 rafting provided are established along its bank side on Kelani River. Rafting of this track is a great fun and it is perfect for beginners as well as experts. When coming along the river you come across the location place of very famous film “BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI”.
At the last part of the trip it can be jumped to the river & swim over mini rapids & into a long stretch

This sport is also known as hydro speed in Europe and as river boarding or white-water sledging in New Zealand, depending on the type of board used. River boarding is done using a high-flotation river board, designed for buoyancy in highly aerated water.

DAY 6: After Breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is "city on the plain" or "city of light". It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. Visit a Tea factory to taste the Sri Lankan Tea and take a tour of the factory. Enjoy the misty mountains, Water Falls, and the fresh mildly cold weather 365 days a year and the picturesque beauty of the Hill country. Treat yourself to Royal atmosphere at night including food and beer.

DAY 7: After Breakfast leave for Hatton to climb the Adam’s Peack

Adam's Peak (also "butterfly mountain", and also "Sri Paadaya"; is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical mountain located in central Sri Lanka. It is well known for the Sri Pada, i.e., "sacred footprint a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit, which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha. The footstep is covered by a handsome roof, and is guarded by the priests of a rich monastery half-way up the mountain, who maintain a shrine on the summit of the peak."
"For a long period Adam’s Peak was supposed to be the highest mountain in Ceylon, but actual survey makes it only 7353 ft. above sea-level. This elevation is chiefly remarkable as the resort of pilgrims from all parts of the East.

Colombo is designated as the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Take a city Tour in Colombo to visit The Museum, The Port city, Torrington Square, Torrington Arcade, Victoria Park and many more attractions. Then shopping at many more shopping complexes and department stores in the city

Day 11: After Breakfast spend more time in Colombo and evening leave for the airport
